Each of the Welcome Centers located at the Interstate entrances to Mississippi have been renovated and installed with a collection of original artwork by Mississippi Artists. This is a permanent display of work purchased by the state and curated by Pacesetter Gallery in Florence, MS. Jerrod’s painting, “Summer Morning on Front Beach, Ocean Springs” is hanging in the Hancock County Welcome Center located in Pearlington, MS, just south of I-10, next to the Infinity Science Center. An opening reception to celebrate the collection and renovation is scheduled for this Thursday, May 7, from 10am to 12pm. The public is invited to attend.

Read More“Wild at Heart: The Dwarf Palmetto”, is a new exhibition of drawings and paintings by Jerrod opening in March at Palmette Gallery in downtown Ocean Springs. He has been inspired by the dramatic nature of the palmetto fronds and their iconic representation of life on the gulf coast since moving to Ocean Springs in 2016. The opening reception will be Thursday, March 5, from 5-7pm. Palmette is located at 424 Washington Ave, inside the Springs Hotel and just next door to the Walter Anderson Museum of Art.
